Dear Students,

In our world becoming like a global village, it is meaningless to tell you how important a foreign language is. Moreover, to know at least two languages has come to the fore much more. Although the foreign language education has been tried to be given since the second-grade of primary school in our country, it has never been carried out properly. So that the foreign language education is still a problem waiting for a solution.

As the Department of the Foreign Languages, we would like to mention that this is possible for our students who cannot learn a foreign language up to now or have no chances to learn it. After you pass two-hour compulsory foreign language courses a week successfully, you are able to graduate from your faculty/college with two foreign languages at the end of your two or four-year education-if you want- by taking elective foreign language courses.

There are two ways to be successful; one of them is to believe in yourself, second one is to study.  It is not likely for those having the mentioned two characteristics not to learn a foreign language. As the Department of Foreign Languages, we are ready to make all kinds of contribution to you about learning  languages. If you believe in yourselves and create enough time to study, let’s manage this together. As the great leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk said “Those deciding to walk without resting never and ever get tired.”
